I been norty. Not been here to post about my very first live experience.

Start from when I left home -

I met Gazthehippy & oioimalloy at Kings Cross in London to get the train to Newcastle. We had an fun trip kinda. Nick (oioi) was doing his usual stirring lol & posting pics on the other forum, something about schlongs and my hand...Say no more apart from it was lies.

Arrived at the hotel & met xxSPRINGTIMExx (Nicola) & halfday (Lee), then more ppl started to appear which was cool although scary. We all went to our rooms and dumped our stuff & met up in the lobby to go reg at the casino.

Back at the hotel the Happy Hour (3-7pm) started and we all took over the bar. Then the booze started, it continued for the rest of the day until we all met at the casino for a meet & greet, then we stopped drinking for maybe 5 minutes and were given a FREE drink chip which soon started us all off again. Met loads of ppl I've never met before. Both Wass players & .commers, we all got on great (I think). After a few more drinks I was really panicking, unsure whether to play or not. But I did it.

It was my first time playing and everyone was just so brilliant. Tricks was a gem on the Friday night. xx

The buffet was awesome, all thanx to Wass.

Saturday I was a bit more relaxed until they put me on a table with Dogma, Evilluck, MrWass, Doc, few others but mad4cards soon calmed me down lol. Bless I think she done me a favour really by telling them if I bet/raise/call to fold.
I drank mainly coffee to begin with I finished 16th on the Saturday which I was more than proud of. Woulda liked to have got a Hoody but I will next time

Back at the hotel was excellent, started drinking again, £3.50 a bottle of lager . Anyway Danny is nuts. There was only a few of us but then everyone joined us including some Aussies who were cool apart from SuperTed who rubbed Hami up the wrong way & almost experienced a mad irishman's temper. I didnt play any more poker that night but watched everyone in action in the hotel. We were all being watched by the guy who served us all drink etc (miserable sod lol) he was adamant we were getting thrown out the room at 4.30am. But Mrs Welshgit came to the rescue and soon sorted that out.

The SNG was turned into a rebuy for reasons I'm sure someone will explain (Sal).

5.30am bed for me while the others continued.

Suited Pockets was the first to break the about potential issues and problems at DGS several weeks ago. As we predicted, Sportsbookreview.com is reporting the following:

01.08.2008 (10:11 AM CST)
BigJuicyOdds (SBR rating D+) poker network (DGS) folds. BJO states that the provider has closed with licensee and player funds. BJO also tells SBR it will be transferring all poker balances to a new network provider, Dobrosoft. The migration of accounts is expected to take three days. Players can also request a payout or a balance credit in the BigJuicyOdds sportsbook, which is a separately operated. Players with other poker brands may be less fortunate. JunglePoker.com is owned by the Dynamic Gaming network and is not expected to settle accounts. G2Gpoker, a poker-only gaming site, has previously stiffed players as part of the Futurebet Gaming network.

At this time I do not have any further information but I am doing all the research and using my considerable contacts within the industry to be able to give you further answers.

I need to take this opportunity to mention that after my original announcement there was a poker forum owner, who owns several forums, that suggested you play cash tables at the DGS sites to "support the network" even though he knew they were not paying out. This was a self-serving move on his part to make himself look good at the poker sites on the network and the network itself. Your best interests were not thought of by him personally or his forums.

I am in the process of signing up to the cashback websites world.

Here is a brief intro on what u do & get -

Set up a free account (don’t use any that require payment) with cashback sites such as Rpoint*, Quidco or Topcashback*, log-in and then click on the product you’re interested in. When you make a transaction such as buying something or signing up to a new credit or insurance policy, it’s recorded and you’re paid cash for doing so.

Its only based in UK thought although I am sure there are companies all over the world doing the same.

Why do they pay out?

In a way, cashback sites are actually advertising sites. They simply list product providers and retailers, and when you click through to these websites, they get paid for ‘providing leads’; the same way most web-adverts usually work. Yet with a cashback site, when you’re logged in, the revenue raised from your click is attributed to you so the site can pay you some or all of the money it receives.

The technology’s rather simple: ready-made paying links are available from ‘links warehouses’ such as Tradedoubler or Affiliatenetwork, which are primarily to allow normal website owners pick the adverts they put on their sites. These do all the liaison with the product providers; though the big cashback sites also have their own direct relationships, so they can offer a wider range of providers or earn more.

The Cashback Kings’ Winner: For those likely to use cashback sites a lot, or get products with large one-off payouts, it’s a close run thing between Quidco and Topcashback*.

Well where do I begin..

Wed 5th Pajasen arrived in UK collected by Neil (Dangermouse) they arrived at mine in the evening. Excellent blokes.

Thurs 6th got up earlyish and headed off to Gatwick to collect a Moosey. The flight was a bit late but we didnt mind that much, however customs were 2-3 hours delay. Hmm was Moosey getting kept. Anyway 2 hours later she appeared out the door and I yelled. It was so nice to see her.

Friday - there was me, partner, Kel, Paj & Neil, we were waiting on 2 new arrivals, Jo (Novi) & Nick (oioiMALLOY) who were coming to the house. Then we were having a proper scottish fry-up. I was so nervous I couldnt even eat mine. When they arrived it was awesome.

We headed off to Stoke weeeee

Arrived few hours later at the hotel. Noticed a few ppl outside wasnt quite sure who was who. Booked into the hotel & went to the bar :p

The whole weekend was great. I didnt play though, just prefered to sit & watch them, I had a good time drinking though :)

Sat - It was arranged by Gav (ca11um) that he was coming up to stoke, nobody else knew so I was gonna sneak him in. Later on we met at Sainsbury's with Nick, Cazwil, Dave (caz hubby), Kat & Joe. Gav was nervous as hell.

When we left Sainsbury's we drove to Hotel and there was quite a few wassers/.commers outside the hotel and I thought Oh dear how we gonna do this. But we got out the car and walked right past them lol.

Got changed and headed off the the casino.

When we arrived there Gav went str8 over to Hami and told him to buy a Magners, the look on Hami's face was classic. Something I will always remember for sure.

I met some lovely ppl that weekend. Thank You to Kel, pips, caz, babs, mad, susan, dave, paj, Neil, Nick, Jo, Hami and everyone else.

Quite a lot went on that weekend and its one of those things that I will never forget.

Thank peeps and hopefully see you next time when I wont have so many distractions. :)

I decided I aint gonna play. I wanna learn so as the next time I can play. My head is kinda messed up with tumor & stuff and I know I wouldnt enjoy myself if I played due to worrying.

Played the 2K Freeroll on poker.com on saturday. Was doin pretty poor for a long time, hanging in there though. Managed to get quite a few breaks when the dealer became my friend :)

And thanks to Marjan, Kel & Tazdog rooting for me on msn and keeping me calm I climbed my way up. Then it seemed quite a few ppl were watching me, Gav popped up wishing me luck as did about 5 other ppl lol. I didnt wanna let anyone down so I played my game the best I could.

Woohoo then the FT and I was a gibbering wreck by this time. They knocked each other out one by one and I was still there :)

I managed to finish 5th which is the best I have ever done in a Freeroll that size since I won the $100 one.

Managed to get a nice sum of $125 for 5th and boy was I happy..

Thanx to my mates who helped me. You guys r the best :)

This aint about Poker as such, ok maybe a part of it.

My day started of so well yesterday then wham I got told my other half had a heart attack. He's working in Canada at the mo so he doesnt know anyone out there. Its the first time I have heard him get emotional. Anyway he rang me and was in so much pain.

For hours I wondered if he was ok. A mate of mine, thanx mimi, who lives in Canada rang his work for me to see if they knew anything.. all we knew was he was in Montana at the time.. they didnt but told me they would let me know if they hear anything..

A while later I get an International Call, my heart sunk coz I was scared to answer it.. anyway thankfully it was him. He's ok :)

Turned out it was slipped disks in his neck pressing on nerves, he lost the feeling in his right arm but they were keeping him in to try sort it. All that had put his blood pressure through the roof so he was having panic attacks.

Boy is he gonna get a slap when he gets home next month..

I just had a really bad night. I seemed to P a lot of ppl off without even trying. SO I think its time for me now to take a break from it all..

Being in the League I will still play for the rest of the season but I need a few days to think about what it is I want... I thought I knew.

Some people just dont me I guess.......

Underdog Wins WSOP

Unknown poker player Jerry Yang has won the largest and most prestigious prize of the year- the $8.25m first prize at the World Series of Poker Main Event in Las Vegas.

Betfair punters made him the least likely player to win, offering odds of 19-1 before the final table of nine players started yesterday.

Yang’s aggressive style meant that he built the second smallest chip stack at the table into the largest and became the favourite in the in-running betting market on Betfair at 6-4 with three players remaining.

After seeing off South African player Raymond Rahme – who hit a betting low of 2-1 in-running – Yang was backable at odds of 1-3 with a 4-1 chip lead. His pocket eights beat Tuan Lam’s Ace Queen by making a straight on the river to take down the biggest prize in poker.

Danish player Philip Hilm was the chip leader and favourite at 9-2 going into the final table but he was the first to be dismissed in ninth place.

Jerry Yang announced that ten per cent of his $8.25m prize will go to three charities– The Make a Wish Foundation, Feed the Children and Ronald McDonald House.

Against the odds winner Yang became a US citizen after fleeing Laos and Thailand. He has never before participated in the World Series of Poker.

The World Series of Poker will come to London in September.

Fighting a losing battle

I am so close to just giving up on poker.. endless times the best hand loses. I know it aint the way I play which is something but I cant cope with those bloody fish anymore.

When I started playing poker I thought it would relax me... huh... I got few grey hairs now. Just takes its toll eventually.

I lost over $220 the other day in one day..

Been a good week sometimes though. Spirits were up for a while and it was fun to laugh again :) cheers mate (u know who u r).

Woohoo 8 weeks on Friday & I'll be in Stoke. Kinda nervous though coz of meeting ppl but by the look of it they're coming here on the Wed to stay, well a few of them are anyway.

My best buddy Kel is coming over from Canada so gonna be awesome. I always wondered if I would ever get to meet everyone because of my head issue but this is gonna be dream come true for me. All my mates together.

I've made a few good mates too on Wass forum so looking forward to seeing them too.
Guess I best go play Poker now

Oops been neglecting my blog again..

Not been winning much at all. So will tell ya about a tourney a mate of mine won.

Ca11um, a wasser. I met him one day at the tables and had a laugh, anyway I suggested he join the 5th Street Charity Game last week and he did... well he didnt just play well, he knocked us out by his awesome play. He's now known as "The Comeback Kid". He won the tournament and got himself what he wanted all along, his accolade, the Charity Shield.

I aint been up to scratch confidence wise this last few weeks due to personal reasons but I am hoping that I am gonna get out of the rut I have gotten myself into.

Yesterday I think I shocked myself though - 4 FT's

$200 Guaranteed - finished 10th, not much but hey I got there.
$250 Guaranteed - 10th again hmm
Stud - I decided to play it as aint played much the last few wks and made FT finishing 3rd
Jokers Royal Flush - ok so only 11 in the game but I won :)

An unknown player who’s reportedly filthy rich has Layne Flack and Doyle Brunson directly to his right. He got it all-in pre-flop against an opponent who had him well covered. The cards were turned up and the dealer put out a flop that brought a Queen and two hearts.

''Shit I just folded Ace-Queen-Queen there,'' said Layne. He looked closer and the board and said, ''Oh shit Doyle, did I have two hearts? I think I had two hearts.

'' Layne had shown Doyle his hand before mucking it and Doyle replied, ''Yup.

Summer Championships will be a series of events run throughout the month and encompass 31 separate events, followed by a Summer Championships Grand Final. Certain events will award leaderboard points with the players who finish at the top of the leaderboard winning their entry in the Grand Final. Its not all about the leaderboard though, throughout the month will be several championship events, with glory to be had in events like the ladies event, the seniors event and the young guns event.

All Championship event winners will receive a trophy and the Summer Champs accolade to commemorate their victory.

To reserve your seat in the Tournament of Champions and your shot at a $15,000 Aussie Millions package and other prizes, simply place in the top 30 of the Summer Champs Leader board and win your entry to our 3x table Grand Final.

Leader board points are awarded as the reverse of the field, so if 100 players enter a tournament, the first player out will be awarded 1 point, and the winner will be awarded 100 points. Those points are then mulitplied by the dollar value of the tournament fee for the event. So, an event with a tournament fee of $2 and a field of 100 players would award 200 points to first place and 2 points to last place.
As a bonus the players that make the final table for each Championship event will have their leaderboard points multiplied for that event.

5th - 175%
6th - 150%

Sry i aint been around to update my Blog. Had manic few wks prior to my partner going to work in Canada.

House is kinda quiet, miss the adult company but gettin on with stuff in the house that should have been done.

Pokerwise -

Been up & down. Got 2nd in $200 Guaranteed & the $250 Guaranteed on the same day last wk. It was an awesome feeling even though I didnt win.

I seem to have good day & bad ones and its true what they say, they do depend on your frame of mind.

I am trying to get on with my life & ignore the problems but sometimes I just need reassurance that all is ok, when I dont get that it affects my gameplay so I know now not to play that day which is helping me loads.

It was an awesome feeling.

I was yapping on msn, nobody was watching my play :( anyway I had AsKs, being stung & not really concentrating I called to see the flop..KcTcTs

I was saying oh I have 2 pr but with the Tens I was hesitant, guy bet, I called - flop Js hmm

I said "oh I need 1 card for a Royal" as I said that and my mate was on way to watch, the river came and wow Qs

I was shaking, couldnt even play right. Hands were trembling, didnt bet, just let the hand complete incase he folded.

But he didnt & here is my Royal

I had a bad one to begin with last wk.. For a reason which I had no control over I was down to $2.. I managed to get 0.40 in the Quarter Quickie. I then played Dolphin SNG & won. Played few more tourneys, few wins & losses.

I have been a kinda grumpy cow lately so I apologise if I have offended anyone. Poor Lee has been awesome putting up with me lol.

My BR has been up & down like a yo-yo. Wins & losses each day.

Lately though I have found an aggressive streak & I like it. As long as I concentrate I seem to be doing ok but then I get silly the next game.

I was so proud of myself in the League games, we re-named our team the MAD JOKERS and we have completely turned us around. I came 3rd in the MTT & got us 55 points then I was 3rd in the other game. We managed to climb from 8th on Leaderboard to joint 3rd in 1 day.

Tournament Play

I am gettin a bit concerned at my play.. I manage pretty well in the bigger tourneys & SNG's but smaller ones I am rubbish.

Summary -

Wed 1K - finished 49th
Thurs 1K - finished around 60ish
Friday 1K - Finished 56th (I think)
Sat 2K - finished 72nd

In all of them I manage to get in top 100 no rpobs but then I lose it... The wed game was a harsh one being rivered so I know I played it right. In fact I think I play them all ok apart from Sat 2K when I just went loopy and lost the plot calling a stupid hand..

Sry I aint been around much. Been decorating & stuff.

Got my laptop back yesterday today....yeyyyyyy NOT

Its going again on Thurs. It "seemingly" had the MOBO (?) replaced.. but imagine to my shock horror its came back with the same problem plus another problem being that they broke my wireless thingymabob & I have bare wires sticking out the side of it..

SO now they have to look at it again... but I was advised that if it has to go back 3 times then they will write it off & issue me with a Full Refund in the form of vouchers.. Which is good coz then I can go buy another one with Vista

So I am on & off again for another few days... sry peeps.

As for poker - aint played too much, just a few tourneys here & there, nothing spectacular to report..

Hiya, sry I aint been around but my laptop is very sick. Its going off to the laptop hospital 2moro morning. Will be gone around 7-10 days :(

I thought I'd play a few games today while I still had it & it was working . Came 11th in $200 Guaranteed. And just won a SNG in Goldfish Room :)

I was playing on Colo table when I got joined by a surprise visit - bullitpete lol. He wanted to play with us little ppl :p

I got the all clear to organise another game with him so watch this space ... He was also saying he might play the Grand Final of EPT so will keep ya posted on that.

When my laptop is away I am gonna try get on using my sons PC but its in his bedroom so I gotta be quiet.

Been Busy

Sry I aint been here. Balance is gone :( So decided to do some stuff at home. I have been thinking about claiming the Bank Charges back & I decided to give it a go. It may seem cheeky to some ppl but I never asked to get a tumor & be off work, I never asked the bank to charge me £30 for going £2 overdrawn so wth I am gonna try. I had mega financial probs.

Anyway back to the bank. It started when I got the tumor & had to spend time off work. The bills started mounting up. My partner had to take time off work to look after me & the kids. Because he earnt too much the previous year we didnt qualify for any benefits. Anyway started off with 1 charge, they debited the amount causing me to go overdrawn again, so next month i was paying the charge for the previous charge. 15months this went on for & adding it all up now it comes to £3550 which is a hell of a lot of money. I am gonna put the link for the website in side-bar. Some quite amazing facts to read.

So wish me luck & who knows I may win this & finally have enough to get the funds for my partner to take up his job in Canada. :)

A little break from Real Money

I am having a little break from Real money games. May play a few games of Badugi but in play money. I suck so bad at the moment in ring games. Been ok in Tournes but lose my winnings getting the points to win if u know what I mean. Just cant seem to increase.

My BR is below $10 & I keep losing so dont wanna lose the lot. Plus I have a started my Spring Cleaning & on a roll... sad.

I aint sure when I can deposit again so will just mess around in the forums & stuff. My other half sent off his paperwork for immigration today so the ball is rolling. Probably gonna do another car boot on Sunday to sort out my garage.

Anyway, I had a game of Badugi on play money last night, the more I play it the more I like it.:)

I did rubbish in 1K last night as usual. Thought as I already had my points then I'd give it a go. Same with 2nites one.

Not played much at all & I feel better for it. I have been playing a PC game & enjoyed it a lot, C&C Generals, been cool letting all my frustrations out on little men on laptop, woohoo. Didnt cost as much either :p

So there ya go. Still here but not here.

I have gotta start sorting stuff at home soon as Sandy (partner) goes to Canada in March. Gonna do car-boot sale on Sunday to try clear my garage which should be fun.

10K Freeroll

I started off really well in 10K tonight. Doubled up off some idiot who thought nothing of the tourney so i was kinda happy. I managed to stay in the game pretty well until 2nd Break. I find I get scared & bored too easy.

I landed on a table with mega-stacks, Thxalot was there and a few other good players. He was cool, played a mean game. But this yappy one kept pushing almost every hand & I just wasnt getting the cards to fight back & ended up going from 94/130 to out 137th :(
Made $5 though so it was cool, always is to get money off freerolls.

I think I am improving gradually.

One day I will tell you something & I'm sure you will either be impressed or think I am pulling your chain.

Only 1 person knows a little secret about me on the site & he was gobsmacked. Said he would never have thought...

Anyway, played 1 game today, $1NL to which I sucked so having a little break, might play the 1K Freeroll, still undecided.

Sry not posted few days, been too busy losing as usual.. grrr lol

Decided to play the 1K Guaranteed last Night. I shocked myself yet again when I made the money. I was just around 300 in chips with 30 to go for money and I managed to do a few double-ups. Scraped my way through till I met Hoackie (bless her) who put me out of my misery. :p

Anyway cant seem to stay about my balance so I gotta do some drastic thinking or something.

Anyway its my Birthday Tourney today & looking forward to it so much, I know I wont last long but it will be nice to see everyone as I do miss the League a bit.

Harrah's has announced the full schedule for the World Series of Poker for 2007, to take place once again at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.

The 55-event 2007 WSOP schedule compares with 46 events in 2006, when more than 42,000 entrants from 56 countries generated a total prize pool exceeding $171 million – the largest purse in competitive sports. The 2006 World Series of Poker Main Event – the $10,000 buy-in No-Limit Hold’Em World Championship – attracted a field of 8,773 players. I came 11th in 1K last night, I was so proud of me & shocked. I had been kinda bored & coolhand75 was gonna go play on Beta so I thought I would just go too. I only had like 390 chips so someone went all in, I called with Q8 sooted, hit trips on flop.. Doubled up. Someone all in again, guess what?? Tripled up then so I as kinda healthy by then so I thought I'd just stay & try.

I really enjoyed the game indeed, the ppl on the table were so nice, when I doubled up on them they werent nasty or nothing, just really nice players.

I aint played any games as yet today, spent time raiding through clothing cupboard & drawers, managed to get 4 sacks of clothes for charity shop, now I gotta shop to get some more clothes that will fit, woohoo what an excuse.

Anyway I decided to take a break from the League for a while, it was a very hard decision to make but I know I will let them down if I stay so I owe it to the QQ Team to make myself a stalker for the mo. It was tough coz I am gonna miss everyone so much but its for the best.

I am gonna just play a few games later 2nite when I feel I am settled again.

Kids go back to School 2moro & my other half comes back from Scotland during the night 2night so will miss the remote control :(

Hi I played like a muppet again :(

The New Year game annoyed me sooo much. Every hand I got which was like AA, KK, someone else had AA or KK and I only hit once :( The Table was kinda bright but i liked it.. :)

Then the 50K well I just kinda ran out of chips, doh.

My New Year was quiet, sat all alone. My other half was in Scotland which I was happy about coz it saves him being drunk here & snoring.. I was ok I guess, bit of a lost mixed up soul at the mo though which I think is affecting my gameplay.

Who knows 2007 might be the start of a new life for me, just wish I could make ppl see I aint that bad really. Anyway u dont need my mush.

Holiday Tourney - now that one I think I did very well indeed, ok so I never made the money but i was quite proud of finishing 22nd out of 149 players, they were so hard to work out though. Maybe its because some r new but I tried. Even if poker gods didnt help me much..Enjoyed the game very much and the Snowmen they were just cute apart from one of them who kept sticking his carrot in the way & touching my butt as u will see in the picture.

Played at ring game to get points for 1K, lost quite a bit there but usually I manage to get it back. Not today though. I know it wasnt all bad play on my part though, eg. I lost it to someone having 46os..

Christmas Day

Whilst I am a little late in posting this blog its still kinda Christmas.

Anyway my kids are more than happy with what they got. The eldest was gobsmacked at his Video iPod. The youngest got a BMX & quite a few XBox 360 Games.

I got nothing :( as usual but I did get more than any present could give me and that was that I am here to see another Christmas & the smiles on their faces :) priceless..

Other half cooked Dinner which was nice, I love Sprouts!!!

I managed to get onto play Poker coz kids took over TV and I just kept annoying him. Joined a Colosseum Table with $5 left with $20.
